Welcome to Camp Compton, World Champions! There are a number of fun activities on the agenda for the weekend! And like any camp experience at the end of summer, you get out of it what you put into it! Let’s take a look at some of the activities!

For example, one of the first exciting events planned is Dodgeball. Watch as team President John McDonough and superstar Patrick Kane duck question after question about legal status and accusations. Will you have dexterity to do the same and focus on the fun?

Speaking of which, our special Law activity this year will look at the concept of innocent until proven guilty.

Sewing will be offered on the first day this year, as well. Watch with pride and happiness as instructor Joel Quenneville teaches Brent Seabrook how to sew an A on all of his jerseys. It’s kind of a big deal, and everyone is pretty sure that Seabs is going to be really good at it.

Then you can move on to Orientation. There are so many new friends to be made at Camp Compton this year! At the same time you will also receive points in Russian Culture Studies.

This year, everyone is looking forward to the Snipe Hunt, to see who the most deadly snipers are on the Camp Compton Ice. Everyone except the goalies, that is!

But the Goalies aren’t left out either. The Camp Compton Gymnastics course will teach them to bend at awkward angles, catch, bat, and so much more…all within one tiny specified area of the playing surface! It’s really something to see, with names like Crawford, Darling, and Leighton…some of the best in the world.

Everyone of course loves the Skating course, even if it seems to go on forever and grows in intensity as the camp goes on. But hey, the same is true of the fall, winter, and spring!

Hitting and Psychology will be featured again this year, especially whenever you’re on the ice with Andrew Shaw. Don’t let him intimidate you…but don’t get swept into a bad fight, either. The Camp Counselors are up in the box, watching everything you do!

Finally, the Languages course will help you with some of the more difficult words. Words like Marko Daňo, товарищ, and the one everyone still struggles with from last year’s camp…Teuvo Teräväinen.

(Sorry, but Archery and Wallet Making will not be offered again this year.)

Remember to respect your surroundings, and have fun! We can’t wait to see you again next year! And remember…if you score really high in all of your courses and learn how to work together, even in difficult circumstances…you might just be rewarded with another shiny Stanley Cup at the end of the season!
