Good Morning, Campers

The Blackhawks will spend the weekend at Notre Dame’s Compton Family Ice Arena for Training Camp. I will make the unselfish sacrifice of giving up my weekend to watch the living legends skate with the youngsters who are looking for a spot in the lineup.

No, please…don’t weep for me. I’ll soldier through the pain somehow.

Here’s the Training Camp Roster, which has 27 forwards, 19 defensemen, and six goalies:

Forwards: Cody Bass, Bryan Bickell, Alex Broadhurst, Matthew Carey, Phillip Danault, Ryan Hartman, Marian Hossa, Patrick Kane, Marcus Kruger, Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Drew LeBlanc, Brandon Mashinter, Mark McNeill, Jeremy Morin, Joakim Nordstrom, Dennis Rasmussen, Peter Regin, Brad Richards, Grant Ross, Brandon “The Man-Child” Saad, Ryan Schnell, Patrick Sharp, Andrew Shaw, Ben Smith, Teuvo Teravainen, Jonathan Toews, and Kris Versteeg.

Defensemen: Mathieu Brisebois, Cam Barker, Adam Clendening, Kyle Cumiskey, Klas Dahlbeck, Dillon Fournier, Kirill Gotovets, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Justin Holl, Stephen Johns, Duncan Keith, Nick Leddy, Zach Miskovic, Johnny Oduya, Michal Rozsival, David Rundblad, Brent Seabrook, Viktor Svedberg, and Trevor van Riemsdyk.

Goaltenders: Mac Carruth, Corey Crawford, Scott Darling, Michael Leighton, Antti Raanta, and Kent Simpson.
