Bottom line: The death of Neil Peart sucks.
He had the hands of genius and perfection, whether they were wielding a pen, or a pair of sticks. I've been a fan since David Gastembide loaned me a copy of Signals when I was 13. Danny Haney and I could play pretty much the entire catalog when I was 17. The band taught me how to play my bass.
Two years ago, when my podcast Item was still a thing that was alive, I did a pair of short podcasts talking about the band I love so much. Here's an encore presentation of both.
